The Carinthia World Cruise

The RMS Carinthia was first laid down in Barrow-in-Furness in 1924. Originally named Servia, she was renamed Carinthia when launched in February 1925. She made her maiden voyage in August 1925 from Liverpool to New York.

In the summer months, the Carinthia provided service between Liverpool and Boston & New York with the capacity to carry 1,650 passengers.

In the winter, the Carinthia did a world cruise with less than 400 first-class passengers. Her first world cruise departed from New York in October 1925.
